SRS works in and through sports as well as with local churches and the SRS Academy. SRS is multifaceted in that it is made up of about 30 different sports teams and provides sports camps, athlete retreats and more by 800 volunteers who are served by 50 staff members. Furthermore, SRS runs the sports hotel Glockenspitze in Altenkirchen as well as the German Hall of Fame of Sports.
